...to start blogging again!
My phone is overflowing with photos of my three favorite little people and snapshots of my life in this little city I love. I don't want to forget this season!
Last weekend, my super fun friend, Nicole, invited me for dinner and a show at 3rd & Lindsley. I love that Nicole is so much like me, in that we're both obsessed with all things Nashville. But, we don't always have the same taste in music when it comes to finding shows to attend together. This particular night, it worked out perfectly! She went for the opening act, Kris Allen from American Idol, and then I got to introduce her to the second act, one of my favorites, Katie Herzig. Such a fabulous night!

And then I got my Bluebird fix with Dave Barnes, Charlie Peacock, Drew Holcomb, & Andrew Ripp. Never disappoints.

The weather has been glorious. It's hard to get in the Christmas spirit without my beloved snow, but this isn't so bad.

We've done some baking...

...and crafting.

...and snuggling.

I'm not into the whole post-Thanksgiving shopping madness, but I did have a couple errands to run that weekend. I saw Ricky Skaggs at Kroger, Connie Smith at Target, & the 80s Tiffany at her new boutique. That is my idea of a successful shopping day!
Our neighbors' dog had puppies & we got the rough job of babysitting while they were away for Thanksgiving. You don't want a dog, Nicole. You don't want a dog.

And last night, my sweet friend, Sarah, came over to help me cut up fleece scarves, write Christmas cards, and wrap them all up (& eat her delicious cookies). We divided up the finished loot & will be carrying them around with us in the coming weeks to hand out to our Nashville neighbors who might be in need of some extra warmth & cheer. I'm excited to hear what stories will come out of it!

Today I have not talked to a single person and it has been wonderful. Listen, I love you all, but I need that occasional day when I can be by myself. I've also watched about twelve straight hours of Departures and now I'm searching for a cheap flight to Siberia for the holidays. Anywhere that will require my backpack, sleeping bag & passport will do.
