"Praying for Your Future Husband", by Gunn & Goyer

I've been praying for my future husband for close to two decades now. It was so exciting to find a book that echoed so many of my prayers, yet brought renewed enthusiasm and fresh perspective! Praying for Your Future Husband by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer did a fantastic job of causing me to focus on the condition of my own heart, rather than lead me to spend time daydreaming about 'the one.' So often these types of prayers can turn into a wish list of the qualities we are looking for in a significant other. These aren't magic prayers that will speed up the process and cause our dream guy to land on our doorstep faster. These are practical yet bold prayers that will make a difference in the life of our future husband today, even if we may not meet him for years. What a wonderful way to love and serve him while we're waiting!

This book offers stories from the differing personal experiences of the two authors. Each chapter is loaded with verses, prayers, and thoughtful discussion questions. It has helped me deepen my prayer life and intimacy with God. I will continue to refer to this book as I'm being molded into the type of woman my future husband has been praying to meet!

Reggie Dabbs, along with John Driver, has done an amazing job of recounting his personal story of transformation. Like all of us, John walked through a season of life that was especially dark and low. We can all relate to those times and the hurts that can overwhelm us. Reggie didn't use his circumstances as an excuse to stay in a never ending pity-party. God did a miraculous work in Reggie's life as he chose to move forward. Now Reggie is using his personal story to bring glory to God and inspire thousands!

This is a fantastic book for anyone, no matter what your age. It's easy to read but hard to put down! Each chapter ends with a set of questions that will help you reflect and apply truth in your own life. It will leave you better equipped to use your story to change your future!
