The most common condition you will find here at our home is Osteogenesis Imperfecta, or Brittle Bones Disease. Since coming to the foster home, these kids have been able to get the surgeries, physical therapy, and medications their bodies need. The twins, Rebekah and Rachelle, were even featured on a Discovery Channel documentary during one of their surgeries several years ago. They love the fact that they're TV stars! They have a copy of the program on DVD, and a few days ago we curled up on the couch and they showed it to me. They just sat and watched the surgery scenes like it was no big deal! Anyways, I found the program on YouTube (Yay, YouTube - you are so great!) and wanted to share it with you. The Wyses don't show up until the second video, but if you want to learn more about this condition I'd recommend watching them all.
You've followed me from my home in Wyoming to a homeless shelter in Las Vegas. We've laughed with friends in Norway and cried with orphans in China. Now sit down for a bit with me here in Nashville, Tennessee.
